Ask YoMedics
How do I know if my child needs this program?
If your child is overweight or obese they need this program. Discuss with your child’s physician their weight to determine if they are overweight or obese.
If your child is of a healthy weight but does not have healthy eating habits or is sedentary then they also would benefit from this program. That is one of the wonderful benefits of this program. It can help anyone who is in need of making healthy lifestyle choices to improve their current and future wellness.
Why so many pieces to the puzzle?
Childhood obesity has many contributing factors. It is not just a need to eat less or exercise more. To truly have a sustaining affect for your child all the pieces of the puzzle have to be in place. That is why YoMedics™ has put this comprehensive program together for you. It is very easy to read and progress through. Discuss with your child’s physician the complexities of childhood obesity to help you understand the importance of a proper approach.
Why do I have to go through a YoMedicsâ„¢ certified physician?
The number one priority of YoMedicsâ„¢ is the safety of your child as they go through their Journey to YoPower for Life. These are life long changes that need to occur to obtain the long-term benefits of this program. YoMedicsâ„¢ strongly encourages physician supervision for your child to ensure that weight loss is not occurring too quickly or that other issues are not arising.
What is the cost of the program?
YoMedics™ has suggested a retail price for Kids Journey to YoPower for Life; however, your child’s primary physician determines the final price. The primary physician will know better the pricing that will be affordable for the demographic location he or she practices in.
Why not take a medication instead of all this work?
Taking a pill has the potential to have significant side affects for your child. Taking a pill also does not teach our children how to make wise choices that are healthy for their body. When you stop the pill the weight will probably come right back if old lifestyle habits are resumed. Learning how to be good to their body will benefit them into adulthood.
